EU-CONEXUS events during ConstructFEST 2023
During this year’s edition of ConstructFEST, the biggest event dedicated to the civil engineering market in Romania, organized annually by our partners from Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest, we were delighted to also hold ‘How to Build your Career – Hints and Tips to make you more Employable’ online workshop. Also, our Romanian colleagues were present with an EU-CONEXUS stand at the fairs held for companies and pupils. Held between 24-28 of April, ConstructFEST brings together the most representative companies in the field, future civil engineers, potential students and Romanian national stakeholders.
Dedicated to our students and alumni, ‘How to Build your Career – Hints and Tips to make you more Employable’ workshop was powered by EU-CONEXUS Career Network Work Package and had the purpose to assist students in identifying their talents and in transforming them into active strengths in order to better develop human capital, while facilitating greater employability and career development. The agenda of the event included the following topics:
- The EU–CONEXUS Careers Network and how it can support you on student’s career journey
- Tricky Interview Questions: How to answer Tell me about Yourself and Do you have any questions for us
- Tell us what you need Session – What support or advice students would like from us to provide to help them on their career journey?
- Presentation by Job Teaser
A total of 100 students from all our partners were present online for the workshop.
The stand organized by our EU-CONEXUS Bucharest Office offered our colleagues the opportunity to present our Alliance to the 1500 pupils, from 70 Romanian highschools, 45 cities and over 20 counties. The pupils had the chance to hear about our European opportunities and to discuss with the UTCB students who participated in our Mobilities and also with our Minor Programmes graduates.
These activities are part of our ongoing efforts to support our students in their professional endeavors and to disseminate among the pupils of today and students of tomorrow the opportunities that our Alliance brings.
