Today 24.02.2023 ConstructFEST starts, the largest European fair dedicated to the civil engineering market in Romania

ConstructFEST, the biggest event dedicated to the civil engineering market in Romania, brings together the most representative companies in the field, future civil engineers, potential students and national stakeholders between April 24-28.

During the event, the Company Fair and the Educational Fair will be organized, which will contribute to bringing new perspectives in education, as well as diversifying career opportunities for pupils and students. These fairs represent a unique opportunity for the students of the seven faculties of the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, as well as for the over 1000 students from over 10 counties and 26 high schools who will visit the campus, laboratories and the university. By visiting the stands of the companies present, they are encouraged to participate in a live system of recruitment and documentation about the labor market. At the same time, young people will have the opportunity to find out more information about the European and international opportunities offered by the European alliance of universities of which the university is a part, respectively EU-CONEXUS – https://www.eu-conexus.eu/en/.

The official opening of the event takes place on April 24 at 11:00 a.m. and the event runs until Thursday, April 27, 2023.

ConstructFEST will this year facilitate also the discussion platform of some topics of interest for higher education, by organizing the debate “Technical Higher Education – Where?”, an event organized by the Career Counseling and Orientation Center of the Technical University of Civil Engineering, with the participation of all the member universities of the Romanian Alliance of Technical Universities (ARUT). The conference aims to create a favorable framework for communication between the guests and to address some topics, such as – the importance of engineering in the current and future economic context, awareness of the current situation of technical education, immediate needs, trends towards which we are moving, challenges and expectations.

Also, the ARUT representatives will debate the new national education laws and the role of the European university consortia, and the representatives of the Career Counseling and Orientation Center (CCOC) within the ARUT universities will address, in continuation of the initiative started last year, the series of discussions on reducing school dropout.

The previous edition of ConstructFest, in numbers

The 5th edition of ConstructFEST brought together over 1000 students from the final years of high school, more than 30 companies and associations in the technical field, over 2500 students and EU-CONEXUS representatives, representatives of the Romanian government and the French Embassy. The posts dedicated to the event on the Facebook platform counted over one million views, with an average engagement rate of approximately 2,500 people per post.
